Collection and return
Cleaning and pets?
We ask that you return the motorhome clean, both inside and out. You can also choose to have us carry out the final clean. The cost for this is €75. Pets are welcome in a number of selected vehicles. We will make a few additional arrangements with you when you collect the motorhome.
Parking and access by train?
You can park your car on our premises at your own risk. We also offer a pick-up and drop-off service from the nearest railway station. We charge a small fee (€15) for this service.
What are the collection and drop-off times?
You can collect the motorhomes between 09:00 and 11:00 and return them to us between 13:30 and 16:00. However, this is only on weekdays. In very exceptional circumstances, we may be able to assist you on Saturdays. Please ask us specifically about this.
Booking and hire
How are fines dealt with?
Any fines issued during the rental period will be passed on to you. By agreeing to the terms and conditions of the rental, you authorise us to collect these. Please note that any collection charges resulting from late payment will be borne by the tenant.
How many free kilometres are included?
If you hire one of our vans, there is no mileage limit. For internal market research purposes, we do, however, record the odometer readings at the start and end of the hire period.
How much is the deposit, and when will I get it back?
The standard deposit is €1,000 per claim. You have the option to reduce this to €350 per claim. The cost for this is €9 per day of hire. Once the motorhome has been returned in good condition following an inspection, we will refund the deposit within the agreed timeframe.
Is there a discount scheme for long-term tenancies?
Absolutely! If you hire the campervan for 22 days or more, you’ll receive a 10% discount on the total hire price (including the first 21 days). Please note: Saturdays and Sundays are not pick-up or drop-off days!
What is included in the rent?
The rental prices quoted include car insurance, international breakdown cover, a safety pack and equipment (including water, a mini-fridge and cooking facilities). When you collect the vehicle, we’ll ensure that the fuel tank is full and that the domestic battery and/or car battery is fully charged. For the full inventory list, click here. You’ll also find a list of items you can bring with you.
What is the maximum capacity of the vans?
Most vans have four seats with seatbelts. They usually have two sleeping berths. If you’re travelling with four people, you’ll need to arrange extra sleeping accommodation yourself, such as a small tent.
What is the minimum age for hiring a campervan?
The minimum age for both the main driver and any additional drivers is 25. We will make a copy of your driving licence when we hand over the vehicle.
What is the minimum rental period?
In the low season, you can hire one for a minimum of 4 days. During the early, late and high seasons, there is a minimum hire period of 7 days.
What sort of driving licence do I need?
To drive our motorhomes, you simply need a Category B driving licence. An additional lorry driving licence is therefore not required.
Options and accessories
Can I bring a bike?
Yes! You can hire a bike rack from us to go with your campervan. We have three different options, each with its own (white) number plates: a basic rack for one standard bike or two road bikes (€1 per day), a sturdy rack for two standard bikes (€2 per day) or a rack specifically designed for electric bikes (€5 per day). Damage to bike racks is covered by your excess.
Can I bring a surfboard?
That’s no problem; (wind)surfboards and SUPs can be carried on the roof rack. Do bear in mind that fuel consumption will be slightly higher.
Do you have any roof boxes as well?
You can hire a roof box from us for €3 a day. Roof boxes can only be fitted to our motorhomes. They are recommended if you are travelling with four people.
Journey and destination
In which countries is the motorhome insured?
The insurance is valid only within Europe. Travelling outside Europe is not permitted and is entirely at the hirer’s own risk.
What is the average fuel consumption of the vehicles?
Our diesel vans are fairly compact and economical to run. Depending on your driving style, fuel consumption is around 6 to 7 litres per 100 km. Our plug-in hybrid motorhomes are also compact and economical to run. Depending on your driving style, whether you have a roof box fitted, and whether you top up the battery whilst on the road, fuel consumption is 5 to 7 litres per 100 km.
What should I do if I break down or my car is damaged?
Should anything happen whilst you are on the road, please contact us immediately. Outside office hours, you can reach us on our emergency number. Once we have received the vehicle back, we will assess the damage and provide a quote for the costs and the settlement process.
